10:30 AM – Visit to Local Spice & Produce Market

Start with a guided walk through one of Addis Ababa’s bustling local markets.
Experience: Fresh spices such as berbere, mitmita, and korarima, Ethiopian grains like teff, barley, and sorghum and Seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Your guide will explain how each ingredient is used in everyday Ethiopian cooking.

11:30 AM – Injera-Making Demonstration

Stop at a neighborhood kitchen to watch injera, Ethiopia’s signature sourdough flatbread, being made on a traditional clay stove (mitad). Taste freshly made injera served with a light appetizer such as shiro, lentils, or tikel gomen.

12:30 PM – First Food Tasting: Traditional Ethiopian Lunch

Visit a family-run restaurant known for authentic home-style dishes.
