Menagesha or Subba Forest

This wildlife reserve is another opportunity for people with limited time to do a trek in the semien or Bale Mountains National Park. Not very far from Addis Ababa, Menagesha which literary means ‘Crowning place’ is worth spending your day or two witnessing the dense forest full of wild animals like Baboons, Menelik Bushbuck, and the world’s rarest Wild dogs.

Trek up to the peak and look over the beautiful scenery and countryside view. There are different spots for picnic lunch and photography but watch out for the monkeys that may run away with your belongings.
